Supercritical Fluid Extraction of Tea Aroma Components

Image
Taking Qianling Yinhao tea as a sample, the technological conditions of supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) of tea essential oil were studied by orthogonal design. The optimum extraction conditions were as follows: pressure 25 MPa, temperature 45 C, CO2 flow 8 L/h and time 4 h. Under these conditions, the maximum yield was 2.57%. The main and secondary factors affecting the extraction rate were time > pressure > temperature > flow rate. Through gas chromatography-mass spectrometric analysis (GC-MS) and sensory evaluation of the extracted essential oil, CO2 SFE can extract the main aromatic substances from tea. The extracted tea essential oil has the same aroma as the original tea, and has a high yield. It can be used for industrial preparation. How to make CBD isolate from Hemp

Image
CBD isolation is the process of isolating purified Cannabidiol (CBD isolate) from hemp or cannabis flowers, leaves or plants. CBD isolation from hemp – from Farm to Pharma CBD can be isolated from hemp flower or biomass (whole hemp plants). Good quality high CBD flower will give the best results, but this may be a waste of such high quality flower as isolate manufacture discards many other therapeutic compounds such as minor cannabinoids and terpenes. To make CBD for use in food or medicine, hemp must be cultivated, harvested, dried, processed, extracted, refined and purified using specialised equipment and processes. What’s the Working Process of Extraction

Image
Working process of extraction : a) The liquid CO2 in the CO2 storage tank C302 is sucked and pressurized by the pressurizing pump, and into the extraction heater E402 for preheating when reaches the supercritical pressure, and then into the extractor along the pipeline. At this moment, the CO2 is in a supercritical state and has strong dissolved ability; b) After the extraction pressure reaches the set pressure, the extraction regulator valve K01, the separator S201 regulator valve K02, and the separator S202 regulator valve K03 are all switched into the “automatic” operating mode. The CO2 that dissolves the active ingredients of the material depressurize passes through K01 into the heater E403; c) In the separator 1 heater E403, CO2 continues to be heated, and then into separator S201; d) In the separator S201, CO2 is heated and maintained by the hot water in its jacket. Due to factors such as pressure reduction, the dissolution rate of the active ingredient of the material is reduced

What's the CBD Isolate Extraction Process

Image
The process starts using Cannabis fresh plant material with a moisture content of 7 - 10% as raw material. CBD Supercritical Fluid CO2 Extraction Equipment Process : Process flow diagram - CBD isolate manufacturing SCFE Using a pin milling equipment, cannabis size is reduced to about 3 - 5 mm increasing extraction surface area and therefore cannabinoids recovery efficiency. Cannabis decarboxylation (transforming acid cannabinoids into their neutral forms with higher activity) is achieved by a heating process under specific time and temperature conditions using a forced ventilation oven. Besides decarboxylation, drying process also reduces initial moisture content of the plant. The process continues using SC-CO2 as solvent for the extraction. Temperature and contact time conditions between the solvent CO2 and the plant ensure the greatest amount of extractable material with the highest concentration of active compounds. After extraction is completed, wasted material

What's the Composition of 700L Extraction Equipment

Composition of Extraction Equipment 700L supercritical extraction equipment consists of three extraction vessels and two separation vessels, with industrial production device for exhaust recovery. Pressure-bearing stainless steel is used to make vessels and pipelines, which includes the following systems:  a)CO2 Storage System b)CO2 Extraction System c)CO2 Separation System d)CO2 Recovery System e)Heating System f)Refrigerating System g)Additive System h)Control System i) Operating Platform CO2 Storage System a)Function: to store liquid CO2 used during operation of the system. b)Key parts: 1)CO2 outdoor storage tank (C301), 1 piece; 2)Outdoor pump (P501), 1 piece; 3)Some components like pipeline, valve, instrument, etc. CO2 Extraction System a)Function: to extract material in supercritical condition. CO2 in intermediate tank is pressurized by pressure pump and then heated by extraction heater to flow in extraction vessel in supercritical state, which will help the effective ingredient

What's the SCFE Safety Operating Instructions for Repair and Maintenance

Image
SCFE Safety Operating Instructions for Repair and Maintenance a)Pressure vessels, pipelines and valves of the extraction equipment must be inspected and experimented periodically according to local regulations of the user. It’s only allowed to be put into use after its conformity with local regulations. b)Operating staff should take immediate measures to shut down the equipment, release pressure and report to the user's relevant department if any of the following abnormal conditions happens to the extraction equipment: Values of vessel’s working pressure, material temperature or wall temperature exceed set levels, and effective control couldn't be obtained after measures are taken. Dangerous signs appear, such as fracture, bulge and deformation on key pressure components, drainage hole leakage on multi-layer wrapped cylinder, etc. Safety valve failure. Damages of connecting pipes and fasteners which couldn’t guarantee safe operation. Direct threats like fire to pressure vessel

What's the SCFE Workshop Operation Rules

Image
Supercritical Fluid Extraction Mcahines SCFE Workshop Operation Rules a)The environment should be clean and items tidy. Safe passage is clear without any obstacles. b)Good ventilation in the workshop should be guaranteed to avoid workers’ lack of oxygen led by high CO2 density. c)Chloride ion content in the water used in this system should not be more than 25mg/L, PH value 6.5~8.5 and TDS value not more than 300. d)Overall power needed for this system is 650Kw/380V three-phase electricity. User should guarantee system power distribution demand for extraction workshop. e)CO2 fluid used for the equipment should meet the requirement of food grade CO2 standard. CO2 volume fraction is not less than 99.9%. f)If steam heating is adopted for the equipment, user should provide saturated steam 0.5~0.7MPa, 550~600kg/h. What's the extraction equipment safety operation requirements?

Image
Safety Operation Requirements a)Before operation, operating staff should read Operating Manual for Cannabis Supercritical Extraction Machine carefully, and strictly follow it to control and operate the equipment. b)Operating staff should check lubricant oil and surface of the pumps and if their work environment is under safe condition. They should add lubricant oil and keep periodic maintenance strictly as per the manual. Safety accessories of pressure gages for the equipment must be used after inspection and qualified metering periodically by the inspection agency nominated by authority in charge of the industry or approved by administrative component department. Safety valve's pressure is fixed. Random change is not allowed. c)Electric control system and auxiliary equipment should be in good condition before startup. Operating staff should first check if the instruments are at zero positions and electric switch valves are intact and reliable. d)Pressure vessels should pass inspe
