Why we choose CO2 as Supercritical fluid (SCF) ?

Image
Supercritical Fluid Extraction Advantage 1. Environmental protection 2. Extraction product improve the health 3. Improve the food safety Extraction Description Supercritical Fluid Extraction(SFE) Working Principle Supercritical fluid extraction (SFE) is a new chemical industry that uses supercritical fluids to separate, recover and purify matter at critical temperatures and critical pressures. The technology is environmentally friendly, known as "green technology" Supercritical Fluid Extraction(SFE) Characteristic 1. Low viscosity and high air permeability 2. Excellent solubility with similar liquid density 3. The solubility of a substance depends on the density of the solvent. By changing the pressure and the temperature, we can achieve a change in the solubility parameter Why we choose CO2 as Supercritical fluid (SCF)  ? CO2 Characteristic 1. CO2 is an inert gas that does not chemically react during extraction and is not harmful to the environment 2. Carbon dioxide is not f

What's the principle of supercritical fluid extraction?

Image
What's the principle of supercritical fluid extraction? The principle of supercritical extraction process uses pressure and temperature to affect materials’ dissolving capacity. In this state, the supercritical material is contacted with separated material, and extract the ingredients selectively. The extract obtained by the corresponding pressure is not a single, it can control the mixture, and then extract the material by reducing pressure and increasing temperature, achieving the purpose of separation and purification. Aerogel extraction uses this principle. This technology also can be used on the extraction of flower, garlic, tomato and other materials. Company: Tradematt (Henan) Industry Co., Ltd. What’s the Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) Systems

Image
Tradematt Supercritical Fluid Extraction (SFE) Systems extract chemical compounds using supercritical carbon dioxide instead of an organic solvent. The supercritical fluid state occurs when a fluid is above its critical temperature (Tc) and critical pressure (Pc), when it is between the typical gas and liquid state. Manipulating the temperature and pressure of the fluid can solubilize the material of interest and selectively extract it. The sample is placed in an extraction vessel and pressurized with CO2 to dissolve the sample. Transferred to a fraction collector, the contents are depressurized and the CO2 loses its solvating power causing the desired material to precipitate. The condensed CO2 can be recycled. SFE applications in the food, pharmaceutical, and fine chemical industries: Decaffeinating of coffee and tea Extraction of essential oils (vegetable and fish oils) Extraction of flavors from natural resources (nutraceuticals) Extraction of ingredients from spices and red pepper

Industrial application of supercritical fluid extraction process The special properties of supercritical fluids bring certain advantages to chemical separation processes. Several applications have been fully developed and commercialized. Nutraceuticals The Nutraceutical market is still a nascent market with potential for revenue in the coming years. In particular, the most interesting areas of Nutraceutical products are pointed in the products with effect in the immunological system, cancer risk, cardiovascular illness and elevated levels of cholesterol in the blood. SCFE provides interesting alternatives for development of Nutraceuticals. Its capacity can be considered as a strategic property. With SCFE technology it is feasible to remove solvent traces, aromas, flavors, fats etc. Pharmaceuticals and Chemicals Pharmaceutical industries as well as chemical industries are changing some of these traditional practices to accomplish fresh green goals. Thus extraction wi
